An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in Tasmania in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:

- Health Care and Social Assistance ($4,009million or 9.5%)
- Manufacturing ($2,703million or 6.4%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $17,341 million in total or 41.2% of the total local sales by total industry in the Tasmania.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Tasmania accounted for 25.2% in Construction; 9.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance and 6.4% in Manufacturing.
