Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the Northern Beaches Council area in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($4,487million or 18.1%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($2,631million or 10.6%)
- Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services ($2,302million or 9.3%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $9,420 million in total or 37.9% of the total local sales by total industry in the the Northern Beaches Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in New South Wales accounted for 22.9% in Construction; 9.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services and 6.4% in Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services.
The major differences between local sales by industries of the Northern Beaches Council area and New South Wales were:
