Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the Townsville City Council in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($3,698million or 20.4%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($1,859million or 10.3%)
- Public Administration and Safety ($1,497million or 8.3%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $7,054 million in total or 38.9% of the total local sales by total industry in the the Townsville City Council.
