An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Snowy Monaro Regional Council area in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($609 million or 34.0%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($264 million or 14.8%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($144 million or 8.0%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $1,017 million in total or 56.8% of the total imports by industry in the Snowy Monaro Regional Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in NSW accounted for 33.5% in Manufacturing; 8.0% in Financial and Insurance Services and 4.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
The major differences between total imports by industries of Snowy Monaro Regional Council area and NSW were:
