Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in Huon Valley in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($246million or 29.1%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($89million or 10.5%)
- Manufacturing ($73million or 8.6%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $408 million in total or 48.2% of the total local sales by total industry in the Huon Valley.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Tasmania accounted for 25.2% in Construction; 9.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance and 6.4% in Manufacturing.
