Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the Shire of Harvey in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($2,470million or 66.7%)
- Mining ($203million or 5.5%)
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing ($183million or 5.0%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $2,857 million in total or 77.1% of the total local sales by total industry in the the Shire of Harvey.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 31.2% in Construction; 6.3% in Mining and 1.4% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing.
