An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the Shire of Harvey in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($1,133 million or 26.5%)
- Mining ($724 million or 16.9%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($368 million or 8.6%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $2,225 million in total or 52.0% of the total imports by industry in the the Shire of Harvey.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 31.1% in Manufacturing; 13.2% in Mining and 8.6% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
The major differences between total imports by industries of the Shire of Harvey and Western Australia were:
