Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the City of Canning in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($3,101million or 25.2%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing ($1,354million or 11.0%)
- Manufacturing ($1,344million or 10.9%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $5,799 million in total or 47.1% of the total local sales by total industry in the the City of Canning.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 31.2% in Construction; 5.2% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing and 5.7% in Manufacturing.
The major differences between local sales by industries of the City of Canning and Western Australia were:
