An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in the City of Canning in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing (5,193 million or 37.9%)
- Wholesale Trade (2,440 million or 17.8%)
- Mining (1,926 million or 14.0%)
In combination these three industries accounted for 9,560 million in total or 69.7% of the total exports by industry in the the City of Canning.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 13.6% in Manufacturing; 2.2% in Wholesale Trade and 58.7% in Mining.
