Dominant groups

An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in the Inner West Council area in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing (1,289 million or 25.7%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (660 million or 13.2%)
  • Education and Training (532 million or 10.6%)

In combination these three industries accounted for 2,480 million in total or 49.4% of the total exports by industry in the the Inner West Council area.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in New South Wales accounted for 16.3% in Manufacturing; 9.1% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services and 4.2% in Education and Training.
