Dominant groups

An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in the Hilltops Council area in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (662 million or 69.0%)
  • Manufacturing (116 million or 12.1%)
  • Retail Trade (35 million or 3.7%)

In combination these three industries accounted for 813 million in total or 84.7% of the total exports by industry in the the Hilltops Council area.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in NSW accounted for 4.2% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 16.3% in Manufacturing and 2.3% in Retail Trade.
