Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in Gold Coast City in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($19,080million or 27.3%)
- Manufacturing ($6,197million or 8.9%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($6,069million or 8.7%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $31,346 million in total or 44.8% of the total local sales by total industry in the Gold Coast City.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 22.1% in Construction; 7.5% in Manufacturing and 8.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
The major differences between local sales by industries of Gold Coast City and Queensland were:
