Dominant groups

An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Federation Council area in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing (679 million or 49.5%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (597 million or 43.5%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (37 million or 2.7%)

In combination these three industries accounted for 1,312 million in total or 95.7% of the total exports by industry in the Federation Council area.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in NSW accounted for 16.3% in Manufacturing; 4.2% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing and 2.8% in Accommodation and Food Services.

The major differences between the total exports by industries of Federation Council area and NSW were:
