Dominant groups
An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in the Scenic Rim Regional Council in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (435 million or 34.4%)
- Manufacturing (209 million or 16.5%)
- Public Administration and Safety (140 million or 11.1%)
In combination these three industries accounted for 785 million in total or 62.0% of the total exports by industry in the the Scenic Rim Regional Council.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 7.1% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 15.5% in Manufacturing and 5.3% in Public Administration and Safety.
The major differences between the total exports by industries of the Scenic Rim Regional Council and Queensland were:
- A smaller percentage of total exports by Mining (7.8% compared to 35.4%)
- A larger percentage of total exports by Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (34.4% compared to 7.1%)
- A larger percentage of total exports by Public Administration and Safety (11.1% compared to 5.3%)
- A smaller percentage of total exports by Transport, Postal and Warehousing (5.1% compared to 8.0%)

The total total exports by industry in the Scenic Rim Regional Council $increased by 424 million between 2018/19 and 2023/24.
The largest changes in the total exports by industries between 2018/19 and 2023/24 in the Scenic Rim Regional Council were for:
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (+$316 million)
- Public Administration and Safety (+$54 million)
- Mining (+$48 million)
- Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services (+$36 million)
