Output by industry is a gross measure of the total sales of each industry sector in Rockhampton Regional Council area. It does not measure how productive each industry sector is at producing this output - which is measured by value added.

Dominant groups
An analysis of the output by industry sectors in Rockhampton Regional Council area in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services ($1,802 million or 14.7%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($1,210 million or 9.9%)
- Construction ($1,188 million or 9.7%)
