Dominant groups

An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the RDA Eyre Peninsula Region in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Construction ($1,629million or 34.6%)
  • Mining ($708million or 15.0%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance ($372million or 7.9%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $2,709 million in total or 57.6% of the total local sales by total industry in the the RDA Eyre Peninsula Region.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in South Australia accounted for 26.3% in Construction; 4.8% in Mining and 8.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance.

The major differences between local sales by industries of the RDA Eyre Peninsula Region and South Australia were:
