An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in City of Port Phillip in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($2,858million or 16.5%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($2,462million or 14.3%)
- Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services ($1,699million or 9.8%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $7,019 million in total or 40.6% of the total local sales by total industry in the City of Port Phillip.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Victoria accounted for 24.2% in Construction; 9.3% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services and 4.7% in Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services.
