An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the Shire of Northam in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($272 million or 33.1%)
  • Mining ($94 million or 11.4%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services ($78 million or 9.5%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $443 million in total or 54.0% of the total imports by industry in the the Shire of Northam.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 31.1% in Manufacturing; 13.2% in Mining and 8.1% in Financial and Insurance Services.
