Dominant groups
An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the Nambucca Valley in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($324 million or 29.3%)
- Public Administration and Safety ($128 million or 11.6%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($113 million or 10.3%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $565 million in total or 51.2% of the total imports by industry in the the Nambucca Valley.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in New South Wales accounted for 33.5% in Manufacturing; 6.2% in Public Administration and Safety and 4.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
The major differences between total imports by industries of the Nambucca Valley and New South Wales were:
- A larger percentage of total imports by Health Care and Social Assistance (10.3% compared to 4.7%)
- A larger percentage of total imports by Public Administration and Safety (11.6% compared to 6.2%)
- A smaller percentage of total imports by Manufacturing (29.3% compared to 33.5%)
- A smaller percentage of total imports by Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (0.6% compared to 4.5%)
