Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the City of Monash in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($4,080million or 18.0%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($2,620million or 11.5%)
- Manufacturing ($1,964million or 8.7%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $8,665 million in total or 38.2% of the total local sales by total industry in the the City of Monash.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Victoria accounted for 24.2% in Construction; 9.3% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services and 7.4% in Manufacturing.
The major differences between local sales by industries of the City of Monash and Victoria were:
