Dominant groups

An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the Lockyer Valley Regional Council in 2023/24 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($1,099 million or 30.2%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($379 million or 10.4%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance ($352 million or 9.7%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $1,830 million in total or 50.3% of the total imports by industry in the the Lockyer Valley Regional Council.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 33.6% in Manufacturing; 7.3% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services and 4.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
